The Hungary Guest Investor Program provides multiple pathways, giving investors the flexibility to choose an option that best suits their priorities:

1. Investment Fund Option
• Minimum €250,000 investment in a real estate investment fund registered with the Hungarian National Bank.
• The investment must remain active for the duration of the residency permit.
• This is the most accessible and practical route currently available.
2. Educational Donation
• Contribution of €1,000,000 to a higher education institution maintained by a public trust.

Hungary has designed this process to be transparent and efficient. Here’s how it works:

1. Initial Registration – Submit booking form, datasheet, and supporting documents (passport, certificates, police clearance).
2. Application Submission – Can be filed either in Hungary (if visa-free entry is allowed) or via a Hungarian embassy/consulate abroad.
3. Visa D (if required) – For nationals needing entry visas, applications are processed within ~1 month.
4. Investment Execution – Upon approval, visit Hungary to open an account, complete ID verification, and sign investment agreements. Investments must be finalized within 3 months.
5. Residency Approval – Residency cards are issued within 7 days of final approval.
6. Family Inclusion – Once the main applicant receives their card, dependents (spouse, children, dependent parents/in-laws) can be added.
